The Studio@620 invites you to a truly unique evening of experimental music improvisation with Jerry Outlaw, guitar and effects, David Pate, saxophones, flute, and bass clarinet, and Bill Folwell, bass, trumpet, and autoharp. The trio will perform a concert of purely improvised pieces, exploring new textures, directions, and sounds both electric and acoustic. Surprises will abound, both for the listeners and performers. Jerry Outlaw has led Zappa tribute band Bogus Pomp for 20 years. David Pate has played with Sam Rivers and has performed concerts of solo improvised music throughout the country. Bill Folwell was at the forefront of Free Jazz in the 60's while playing with Albert Ayler and Carla Bley
