A ragtag trio of merry traveling thespians has once again found a temporary home at the Studio @ 620 for the holiday season. Only, instead of performing Dickens’ beloved holiday classic “A Christmas Carol” for the umpteenth time, they’ve decided to tackle every christmas story ever told (and then some…). Yule crack up as Christopher Futch, Alexander Whittenberg and Nathaniel Beaver return with this popular production which had it’s Studio@620 premiere in December 2011.
“Every Christmas Story Ever Told (and then some)” is written by John K. Alvarez, Michael Carleton & James FitzGerald. It is produced with permission from Playscripts, inc.
Alexander Whittenberg has spent the majority of his recent past working on behind-the-scenes magic for theatre, film & environments. A St.Petersburg native, he attended the Pinellas County Center for the Arts before traveling to NY. In May, he received his BFA in Scenic Design from the Conservatory of Theatre Arts at SUNY Purchase. Recently, he’s designed a handful of acclaimed independent films, worked in the broadway design studio of David Korins and created the settings for productions of ‘The Inspector General’ and ‘Museum’. Alexander also created an original concept for a show called “Converse: an Evening of Authenticity” which premiered here at the Studio and went on to take place in several locations throughout Central Florida. He is a co-founder of Masters Theatre Group. Please contact him (via his website) if interested in meeting for coffee to discuss the future, architecture, cartoons or world travel. www.WhittenbergCreative.com
Christopher Futch is a co-founder of Masters Theatre Group. A native of St. Petersburg, FL, he received his bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Applied Economics from Florida State University, and also holds a master’s degree in Higher Education Administration from FSU. Chris has performed in many shows over the years, including Les Miserables, Guys and Dolls, How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying, Songs for a New World, Footloose, Fiddler on the Roof (with Nathaniel Beaver in 2002!), and The Complete Works of Shakespeare Abridged. While acting is not his full time job, he always enjoys that holiday opportunity to put on something unique and creative with the immensely talented Alexander Whittenberg & Nathaniel Beaver. Chris would like to thank you for supporting local theater here at the Studio@620 and our efforts to spread the Christmas cheer!
Nathaniel Beaver has not been on stage for many years. Some thought he went missing. A few believed him dead. Now that he has returned for this production of ‘Every Christmas Story Ever Told (and then some)’, all can agree he is quite rusty. Nathaniel somehow managed to receive his BFA in Acting from the University of Central Florida after spending most of his college class time working as an actor at Universal Studios. He spent a long stint in Asia in the Disney Live production of Winnie the Pooh, then blackmailed himself into another Disney Live production in Europe as a certain space ranger who often hangs out with a cowboy (name withheld due to court restraining order). Nathaniel is mostly excited to be back treading the boards with these two “gentlemen”. He hopes to one day find a large briefcase full of money.
