The Studio@620 welcomes the return of choreographer/director Chase Adin and composer Chris Ferguson as they present AF DANCE THEATRE II.  Comedy, technique, drama, and imagery - a professional dance theatre production featuring highly collaborative works ranging from modern dance, electronic music composition, script writing, acting, martial arts kung fu technique, and urban break dancing. AF DANCE THEATRE II celebrates over 5 years of collaboration between choreographer/director Chase Adin and composer Chris Ferguson. This event will premier 4 new works from the artistic duo and a critically-acclaimed work from their past repertoire, alongside with guest choreographer DeMario Henry and the VYB Dance Company.

“White Man Can’t Dance” is a comedy dance theatre piece that makes light of being politically correct when a rap dance group accidentally hires on a group of white dancers! The audience will explore the dramatic story of love when childhood, adulthood, and the closing years meet via an acting trio “The Meaning of Time”. “Sky Burial” is an exploration of a sacred ritual performed in the high mountains of Asia via vivid imagery of dance of electronic music. “Patient Energy” demonstrates the physical capabilities of martial arts technique when honing the mind and body. “The Belms” is the critically-acclaimed work adapted from Adin & Ferguson’s past production Case Number 346: Sarah Mayes.

“…starkly powerful choreography and performances that show impressive physical and emotional strength” – Marty Clear, St. Pete Times

“…refreshingly innovative, bearing all the marks of a talented artist [Chase Adin] on the rise” – Kathy L. Greenberg, Tampa Tribune
