The Empowered Voice: Home for the Holidays

Directed by Greg Milton

No matter what your religious holiday preference is, ‘tis again ‘The Season,’ the time of year we collectively fear, loathe and adore. Long ago, humans, came together in the winter to share their warmth for survival. Now winter time means the coming holidays and shopping chaos. The over-repeated jingles and lame office parties. Deaf Aunt Gertrude’s loud cackle and Drunk Uncle Bob’s highly inappropriate jokes.

Even with all the modern day stresses, human beings still collectively seem to treasure this time of year. Winter is a time of rest, reflection and remembrance. We miss the people we cannot be with and our loved ones who have passed on. We talk, shop, eat, drink, cry and laugh our way through ‘The Season,’ because we need each other to get through the cold months. We ALL have a need for warmth.

Performing little-known gems and holiday standards in the styles of classical, musical theatre, gospel and spoken-word, this unique, one-of-a-kind concert is sure to make you feel good all over. Featuring Becca McCoy, Colleen McGrath, Fiona White and Tia Jemison, their Empowered vocal artistry will surprise and delight you in one fantastic night of holiday spirit and warmth!
