SECOND

Presented by Spec Performance Series

The Studio@620 is pleased to announce the return of Spec.  Spec is a brand new laboratory of live original performance artwork.  Every few months artists and audiences experiment to invent a local culture of collaboration.

Spec Performance Series hosts its second show in the series, “Second”, on Saturday, December 8th at 8pm at The Studio@620. The night will include several seven minute performances including music, dance, film, and theatre in various combinations, followed by a moderated discussion with audience members. Running time for the show is 90 minutes with additional time for the talk-back.

Admission to this event is $10.

Spec Performance Series hosts short works in progress by contemporary performing artists. Its unique feedback sessions give audience members the rare chance to partake in the creative process. The viewers become critics and collaborators, sampling bite- sized portions of Tampa Bay’s freshest works in progress. Audience members invest and engage with artists and art in the moment. Spec’s artistic risk- taking develops a local, sustainable identity for Tampa’s artistic community.

Featured artists include Andee Scott, Brian D Fidalgo II, John Allen Gibel, Paula Brett, Jesse Thelonious Vance, Nooie Lee, Megan Tracy, Tina Tidwell, and Erin Tracy.

Spec Performance Series is organized by Erin Tracy and Tina Tidwell. This event is made possible through the dedication and generosity of Hampton Arts Management, The Gobioff Foundation, Creative Loafing, HCC Ybor, Red Canary Photography, Yogani Studios, Bella Prana Yoga and Meditation, and evolation yoga.
