“Lyrics for Langston” by local poet Venus Jones

An evening of 1920's costumes, history, music, love, words, and movement.

The Studio@620 invites you to the official book release of  "Lyrics for Langston" by local poet Venus Jones.  Enjoy an evening of 1920's costumes, history, music, love, words, and movement. This special event celebrates author/actress and poet Venus Jones's latest poetry collection and her transition to the west coast and will feature Keeper of the Dream and Guest Speaker Marjol Rush-Collet of The Langston Hughes Family Museum.  There will also be Live Jazz and Poetry by Venus Jones. A portion of proceeds will benefit The Studio at 620 and The Langston Hughes Family Museum (a traveling exhibit).

Admission:  $15 in advance, $20 at the door. 

(The first 20 advance ticket holders will receive a complimentary celebration toast with Venus Jones at 8:20 pm!) Because this is a fund raising event, no red member tickets will be accepted for admission.
