Aqua-Tecture with Erica Williams

The Studio@620 welcomes our friends at The Pier Aquarium as they present Erica Williams,M. Arch,who will share her thoughts about design, quality innovation and alternative design solutions as part of the Green Collaborations Event Series

Ms. Williams, assistant designer in the Ecosystems Technology Group at the University of South Florida, will present a brief on her master's thesis "Aquatecture: Architectural Adaptation to Rising Sea Level", which is a sustainable community project built on water.

About Erica Williams

Erica Williams received her master of architecture degree in 2009 from the University of South Florida School of Architecture and Community Design.  An "up-and-coming" designer, Ms. Williams, in collaboration with 12 0ther designers/builders, received an Award of Excellence in "Green Projects" in 2009 from the Hillsborough County Planning Commission for the design and construction of Temple Terrace's Riverfront Park Pavilion.   A member of the American institute of Architecture Students and Habitat for Humanity since 2005, she recently presented at the 2010 International Sea Level Conference in Corpus Christi, Texas.
