Jazz Afternoon with Jonathan Powell

Al Downing Tampa Bay Jazz Association presents Jonathan Powell, trumpet, flugelhorn and composer who in 2009 was voted "Best Latin Jazz Trumpet" (Latin Jazz Corner). Jonathan Powell comes direct from New York and worldwide engagements to join brother, Jeremy Powell who was declared Best Saxophonist in Creative Loafing's 2010 "Best of the Bay" issue. Completing the group will be LaRue Nickelson, guitar; John Richardson, keys; Alejandro Arenas, bass and Ian Goodman, drums. Each of these musicians are outstanding in his own right and have made their mark as composers, arrangers, educators, etc.
