Concrete Jungle

Presented by The PGK Project

The PGK Project, under the Artistic Direction of Peter Kalivas (Former original member of Sean Curran Company/NYC, The Jamison Project under the Artistic Direction of Judith Jamison and The Iwanson Dance Company and Bavarian State Opera Ballet of Munich, Germany), will be touring his stellar, critically acclaimed California based contemporary dance company to five cities in Florida including a stop at The Studio@620 on Friday October 15.

The program will also include a romantic duet to the famous Spanish ballad "Besame Mucho" and "Trappings" set to a driving original musical score created by Daniel Ruiz of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil featuring dynamic dancers Megan R. Jenkins and Justin L.Viernes as a couple whose essential relationship is built on trapping one another.  Also, included will be the fun and flirty "Dances Obrigado" and the groovy and highly physically demanding, athletic "Concrete Jungle" set to the funky horns of Hypnotic Brass Ensemble.  Also included is a new duet "Bitter" featuring the music of Me'shell Ndegéocello and danced by Viviana Alcazar and Cecil Pratt and the whimsically stunning "There and Back" against music by Moby which includes Heather Dale rounding out the roster of dancers that make up this fresh, entertaining company.    Acclaimed, stellar dancer Peter G. Kalivas (former principal dancer of Sean Curran Company/NYC, The Bavarian State Opera Ballet and The Iwanson Dance Company of Germany, projects with Judith Jamison and Donald Byrd/NYC) performs in "Still Running" and "Streams" with Justin L. Viernes and "Alone with Myself".
