Program Overview

The Wild Party, based on Joseph Moncure Marchs 1928 epic poem, tells the story of Queenie and Burrs, vaudeville performers who throw a party for their colorful friends in an effort to revive their stale relationship. The intersection of passion, rage, and moonshine causes a tumultuous evening, and the night truly becomes the party to end all parties.

The all-star production team is made up of current students and recent graduates of Pinellas County schools, who return from across the country to mount this production. 19-year-old actress Michelle Dowdy returns home to grace the St. Pete stage for the first time since her meteoric rise from high school standout to Broadway star. Dowdy was profiled last year in a six-part series in the St. Petersburg Times. Jamieson Lindenburg the director of the Palladiums 2003 hit Cabaret returns to direct The Wild Party. The cast, with familiar faces such as John Bambery and Ann Cornelius, includes several alumni of the Palladium Theater Conservancy.
