Asher Dance Eclectic

This eclectic group of professional dancers continually excites its
audiences with cutting edge choreography in modern, jazz, tap, hip-hop and
lyrical styles.

"Asher Dance Eclectic" has been providing audiences throughout Central
Florida with physically-integrated dance since 1999. A.D.E. has performed
at Epcot for Walt Disney Entertainment, Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center,
The Florida Aquarium, Lake Eola Amphitheatre (Orlando), The Falk Theatre,
and The University of South Florida and has collaborated with other companies such as "Moving Current" and "Karen Peterson & Dancers", Miami.

Acclaimed as Central Florida's first mixed-mobility dance company, "Asher Dance Eclectic" has received numerous awards for its benefits to the community and quality productions. The Weekly Planet voted A.D.E. "Best of the Bay" for community dance organizations in 2003. In 2004, A.D.E. received the "Salty Cares" Award recognized by WMOR T.V. for organizations that touch many lives by doing great things in the community.

Program Overview

Asher Dance Eclectic will perform a series of dance pieces with poetry, music and metaphor that will stimulate the mind and the spirit. Featuring 'Door Jam', which premiered in March 2005 at The University of South Florida. A metaphorical and literal exploration of our connection with doors and the irony that, even as our society continues to be more technologically advanced, this simple structure still influences our lives.
