Chicago cartoonist and writer Nicole Hollander (creator of the syndicated
comic strip ”Sylvia”) will lead a master class graphic memoir style workshop
called “In the Old Neighborhood” at The Studio@620 on Thursday January
22 from 11 AM - 3 PM. Participants will be asked to brainstorm and write
briefly about memories and recall anecdotes and reflections from their own
personal ’old neighborhood’ which they will then illustrate with basic drawing
techniques. The class has reached its capacity for attendance at this time.
A reception to display the finished drawings with Nicole and the other class participants will be held the following evening, Friday January 23 from 6-9 PM. Admission to the reception
is free and open to the public.

PLEASE NOTE: Registration for the workshop is now closed as we have attained our maximum class size. PLEASE JOIN US for the reception on Friday evening to see the results and meet Nicole.
