“Foreign/Familiar Cities” (performances Saturday, August 23rd at 3pm and 7pm and Sunday, August 24th at 3pm) is a hybrid dance theatre film and live performance by choreographer Erin Tracy based on the novel Invisible Cities by Italo Calvino. The film explores seven of Italo's cities through dance in foreign and familiar landscapes. The showing culminates in a live dance theatre performance of a "zero moment"-- the essence of the seam between two opposing ideas that is present in the literature for each of the places. Tampa Bay Food Trucks will also be at the event, offering cuisine from some of the foreign locations seen in the film.
Performances will be held Saturday evening August 23 at 3:00 PM AND 7:00 PM with a Sunday matinee August 24 at 3:00 PM.
Admission is $15, $10 for students or seniors.
Studio@620 red member tickets will be accepted for admission. Please call to RSVP 727-895-6620
