Make a kite with Japanese kite expert and educational director of the AKA, Wayne Hosking, Using bamboo, bass wood & tyvek for the frame and sail along with traditional Japanese sumi ink and brushes for design, we will be making is a mini Rokkaku. Its origin is Sanjo, Japan where the “Ika Gassen” giant kite festival has been taking place every year since 1649. Make your own design or attempt a traditional Japanese image with assistance from a master! This event is open to adults, however older children are welcome with a parent or guardian.
