For the Love of Clay

A One Day Pottery Exhibition and Sale

The Studio@620 in cooperation with DMW Fine Art Studio, Inc. proudly presents: "For the Love of Clay: A One Day Pottery Exhibition and Sale" featuring art by several local ceramists.

This one day event will also include dance performances by students from the Pinellas County Center for the Arts at Gibbs High School.

All artworks will be for sale.

The Artists

Cristina & Don Williams

Don Williams held his first show in Florida in 1996. His graceful wheel thrown pieces have attracted a large and dedicated following and he has won numerous awards for his hand-made creations.  Don’s work is widely displayed in galleries throughout Florida and the greater southeast.  Cristina joined him in 2001 and their work now fuses her artistic painting and sculpture with his exquisite wheel thrown work.

Wendy Durand

Following a long held dream of being a potter, Wendy Durand recently immersed herself in the study and practice of ceramics.  The result is an exploration of color, shape and form that is both earthy and elegant.

Rich Meredith

Rich Meredith has been a “serious” potter for almost 6 years.  For him, pottery is a stress relief outlet, where it is acceptable and even encouraged to make a huge mess.  His current work is focused primarily on raku fired pieces, the process of which is exciting and provides instant gratification (from a pottery perspective) that one gets when revealing a piece from the reduction can.
