The Studio@620 welcomes Slow Food Tampa Bay and their presentation of “Food From the Ancestors, Part 1: Ancient Gardeners, Sacred Landscape, & Ritual” on Monday January 9, 2012. The evening begins with a pot luck meal at 6 PM and the presentation follows at 7 PM. There is a $5 suggested donation at the door. Drinks will be available for purchase.

Slide show/discussion with Willow LaMonte. Through slides and a food altar, Willow traces the history of early agricultural/horticultural communities. This sensual exploration of our ancient gardening ancestors, interweaves their relationship to the land /forest, nature divinities, plump Goddesses, sacred symbols, and celebrations of abundance.

PLUS Know Your Spices – a little fun with spices presented by Paul Bailey Savory Spices. Prizes will be awarded.
