"A Farm For The Future" Kovaleski, Freedom House Farm

Presented by Slow Foods Tampa Bay

The Studio@620 welcomes Slow Food Tampa Bay and Jim Kovaleski, a local urban farmer at Freedom House Farm.

Jim will discuss how urban land can provide sustenance and livelihood for anyone making this choice and the community of creatures that share our habitat;salad how he uses Permaculture, (an ancient wisdom seeking new minds) principles and practices to grow and gather an amazing abundance of food for himself, and his friends and neighbors. From his urban farm he then still has a surplus to take to market and sell or trade to provide for his other needs.

He offers a different way to perceive our role in where we live, how we participate in taking care of the land, and how She, our earth, will take care of us as She does for all the other creatures.

6:00     Pot luck –bring a dish to share or $5. Bring your own dish and fork. Be ready to buy a beverage from the Studio to support our use of the facility.
