Dreamers and Schemers: An Evening with Great Floridians

Presented by the Floriday Humanities Council

The Florida Humanities Council and Studio@620 invite the public to experience history coming alive on stage with Dreamers & Schemers: An Evening with Great Floridians. With its wide open spaces, fertile farm land, and vast Everglades, Florida has attracted many colorful characters that have made it their home. Napoleon Bonaparte Broward, Zora Neale Hurston and Jacob Summerlin each felt a connection to the land and had a strong sense of place in Florida. Trained stage-actors portray these important figures and offer a glimpse into each of their contributions to our great state. After about an hour of performance, a moderator will facilitate a brief discussion on the themes of the program.
