Willful Encounters (at a bus stop)
Video and photographs crossing societal barriers by Maria Saraceno

Willful Encounters

Program Overview

The exhibit is an installation of video and photographs obtained during the four month long project at a bus stop in St. Petersburg Beach. The project’s aim was to cross societal barriers and cater to those who normally cater to others. Refreshments, food and hand massages were offered to hotel workers while they were waiting at the bus stop for their travel home. The rich exchanges were documented via photographs and video.

The project was funded in part by the Pinellas County Arts Council under the ARF Grant program.
